Symptom


When you try to change the User Account picture (displayed in Welcome Screen and the Start Menu) via the User Accounts
Control Panel, you may receive this error:


Automation server can't create object


Cause

This problem occurs if you unregister the file shimgvw.dll as an attempt to turn Off the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

Resolution

Click Start, Run and type REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
